Objective

The “Export Manager Travel Retail Asia” is responsible for the development and execution of an ambitious growth-strategy in the Travel Retail Business Asia for a Swiss Premium Chocolate Brand.

Ideal Profile

The ideal profile for this role is an experienced FMCG Key Account Manager / Export Manager in the Travel Retail Business Region Asia. Knowledge in the chocolate business is a plus

Job Description

  • Responsible for a professional key accounting for Duty Free in Asia out of Hong Kong
  • Management of the current customer portfolio incl. acquisition of new clients
  • Development and implementation of an ambitious growth-strategy in the Travel Retail
  • Meet and exceed volume and operating profit for the territory
  • Develop written Annual Plan for each operator containing volume, distribution and performance objectives
  • Regular customer visits to ensure and support the execution of the Annual Plan (incl. store checks, Staff-Trainings, Promotional Set-ups)
  • Identify key marketing- & sales strategies to enable the operators achieves their targets
  • To protect and enhance the global brand image and reputation of the company’s products
  • Develop and prepare sales presentation materials
  • Regular interaction with internal stake holders in Switzerland (Marketing, Sales-Support, Export-Managers, Logistics etc)
  • Regular reporting and analysis of results within the territory
  • Responsible for rolling, monthly forecasts on customer/item level
  • Direct reports to the Headquarter in Switzerland
  • Profit & loss responsibility

 

Requirements

  • Several years of working experience in the Travel Retail business, preferably within the FMCG industry
  • Profound export and sales skills (ability to succeed in selling Swiss Premium Chocolate in a competitive market environment)
  • A successful performance record from the previous employer
  • An existing Travel Retail network (preferable knowledge of the Travel Retail structure in Asia)
  • Strong negotiating ability
  • Customer oriented management
  • Ability to communicate on every level within a customer’s structure
  • Profound know-how in building up brands
  • Strategic way of thinking combined with strong execution (operational excellence)
  • High energy and enthusiasm for a Swiss Premium Chocolate brand
  • Perfect skills in english (oral and written)
  • Excellent IT-Skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SAP etc)
  • Knowing the Asian and European culture, living in Hong Kong and want to be there for several years at least
  • Previous titles appreciated: export manager, key account manager…
  • Appreciated previous experience: Chocolat Frey,゠Ferrero, Godiva, Goldkenn, Hershey, Kraft Foods, Leonidas, Nestle, Perfetti Van Melle
  • Appreciated previous titles: Key Account Manager, Export Manager, Area Sales Manager, Regional゠Sales Manager
