Job Description

Our Client

Our client for this search is a large chocolate/confectionery company with an office in Dubai serving the Middle-East, Africa and India.

Ideal Profile

The ideal profile is a Travel Retail sales professional with experience in the Middle East India & Africa region and a background with premium brands.

Job Description 

  • Strengthen the brand’s premium Travel Retail presence in the region
  • Developing and maintaining an excellent customer relationship on all levels
  • Customer analysis (organization, decision structures, suppliers’ politics)
  • Potential evaluation (product range, promotion, distribution, POS presentation, profitability)
  • Working out customer development plan (goal definition for his respective accounts, activity, actions)
  • Active controlling & initializing of corrective actions in order to achieve budgets
  • Customers POS management (replacement + installation of new units + implementation of the perfect planogramming)
  • Issue regional reports, such as sell out of key customers and monthly reports
  • Acquire new markets
  • Manage his/her own travel plan subject to priorities

Sales / Distribution:

  • Responsible of the turnover of his/her own district
  • Responsible to co-ordinate all actions to be taken (products, promotions, place, price)
  • Strengthen the brand’s Premium presence at the Point of Sales (POS concept, Visibility, Fair Share)
  • Developing and applying annual targets in quantitative and qualitative form for his respective accounts
  • Extending and building up Duty Free business in the region assigned to him/her, as well as the customer base, product range and sales channels
  • Ensure distribution of the brand’s products and implementation of defined planogram layouts
  • Servicing, supporting and monitoring existing and new customers in the course of regular market visits
  • Monitoring/ observance of sales targets and the company distribution policy
  • Ensure the internal flow of information in respect of current and future activities as well as planned targets for his/her respective accounts.
  • Working out offers (new and existing customers: product range on offer, terms and conditions of delivery and payment, merchandising, recommendations and agreements on promotions)
  • Take part of international duty-free trade fairs and Global Sales Meetings

Product Management:

  • Contribution towards the development of new products and promotions by analysing market
  • conditions and customers’ requirements
  • Product launching in the assigned countries

Marketing:

  • Development and implementation of successful sales promotion concepts, guidelines and
  • measures within the framework of the budget allocated.
  • Range optimisation in respect of specific customers/markets (incl. POS support and
  • merchandising)

Planning:

  • Cooperation in strategic planning and medium-term planning within his field of responsibility
  • Developing and adherence to annual plan (sales, gross profit)
  • Manage the ROFO for his/her own district
  • Monthly details of the rolling forecast with monitoring of stocks in store for the purposes of
  • production planning and Sales ROFO

 

Requirements

  • Fluent in English (ideally in Arabic too)
  • Strong sales skills
  • Sales experience on premium brands
  • University Degree
  • Must dominate MS Office, strong Excel skills
  • Analytical person/ numbers oriented
  • Creative in a budget-conscious way
  • Budgeting/ Forecasting
  • High quality worker with efficient working style, great engagement, hands-on mentality
  • Punctual, reliable time management
  • Supports with great ideas, innovative solutions to any factors influencing the business
  • Flexible to demands and short deadlines
