Job Description

Our Client

Our client for this Finance Manager position is a multinational company. The Americas division with headquarters in Miami acts as Distributor and Logistic Service Provider for Global Brand owners in luxury goods, and from warehouses across the continent all large and small customers are supplied in Duty free and Travel Retail Americas (channels: airports, airlines, borders, ports and shipchandling).

Key Responsibilities

  • Monthly and quarterly closings
  • Year-end closing as per local standards and as per IFRS
  • Preparation for financial audit
  • Reporting to headquarters in Europe
  • Preparation of annual budgets / quarterly forecasts
  • Responsible to control costs, especially controlling of freight costs
  • Coordination with banks
  • Coordination of insurances
  • Coordination with third party tax preparers and partial preparation of tax returns (income tax return, annual transfer pricing update Panama, property tax return)
  • Monthly cash flow analysis
  • Review and reminding of AR, review on credit limits, decision on releasing new orders, issuing credit notes, etc.
  • Monthly billing of third party logistics services
  • Quarterly billing of miscellaneous charges to vendors (labor charges, forwarding of freight charges, occasionally product destructions)
  • Quarterly billing of intercompany charges to subsidiary in compliance with transfer pricing regulations
  • Monthly / quarterly preparations of price reconciliations with vendors and margin control and coordination of settlement of price reconciliations
  • Coordination of bi-weekly payroll, be in compliance with regulations of Department of Labor
  • Participation on all decisions which do cause impact on financials
  • Preparation of ad-hoc studies for internal purposes or upon request from headquarters

Requirements

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in accounting / business administration, 5 years + of experience, CPA a plus
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Knowledge of IFRS a plus
  • High analytical skills
  • Appreciated background in Travel Retail / Duty Free, CPG, Consumer Goods, Luxury Goods, Food & Beverage, FMCG, Wholesale, Retail (Altadis, Applica, Bacardi, Colgate, Diageo, Estee Lauder, General Mills, Imperial Tobacco, Johnson & Johnson, Kraft Foods, L’Oreal, LVMH, Macy’s, Moet Hennessy, Office Depot, P&G, Perry Ellis, Premier Beverage, Procter & Gamble, Reckitt Benckiser, Remy Cointreau, Southern Wine & Spirits, Spectrum Brands, Starboard, Unilever, Wal-Mart…)
