Our Client

Our client for this opportunity is an international Tobacco/Premium Cigars company.

Objective

The Regional Sales Manager will be in charge of leading a sales team and visiting his territories (US West Coast sates) to develop the business through a network of agents and distributors.

Ideal Profile

The ideal profile is an International Sales Manager coming from Consumer Goods (Tobacco a strong plus) and with a strong knowledge of sales in the US West Coast. The position will be home based from Texas OR California.

Job Description

  • Forecast sales by product and by territory
  • Travel and meet with the retailers
  • Lead a sales team of 10 territory managers
  • Budget and plan on a yearly basis with your clients
  • Negotiate prices, quantity and spaces in POS
  • Advise your clients on how to spend their marketing budget
  • Manage your P&L on your territory
  • Visit points of sales
  • Make sure the marketing plan and the merchandising is properly implemented
  • Train the sales staff
  • Coordinate promotional events and launches
  • Control inventory
  • Watch competition and market trends

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree minimum (MBA a plus)
  • 5 to 7 years experience in Wines & Spirits for the Northern American market, travel retail is a plus
  • English
  • Previous experience in the Tobacco industry is a strong plus
  • Position home based in Texas or California
  • Previous experience as a Team Leader
  • Excellent with MS Office, Excel in particular
  • VERY open to Travel (50%) and work extended hours
  • Familiar with multicultural and international environment
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to lift and carry 40lbs or more
  • Perfect presentation and communication skills
  • Very good skills with Excel and the rest of MS Office
  • Appreciated previous experience: Philip Morris, Kamel, Padilla, Montecristo, Davidoff, Altria, BAT, British American Tobacco, JTI, Japan Tobacco International, Philip Morris International, RJ Reynold’s, Moet Hennessy, Pernod Ricard, The Edrington Group, Patron
  • Appreciated previous titles: Area Sales Manager, Division Manager, Area Manager, Account Executive, Business Development Manager, Territory Manager, Regional Sales Manager
