Job Description

Our Client

Our client for this opportunity is the Latin America & Caribbean office of a very well known luxury watch brand.


The Public Relations & Events Manager is fully responsible for the brand’s Public relations and events and trade events in the territory of Travel Retail in South & Central America, Caribbean and cruise ships . He also is responsible for all Public events and press relations in the Central and South American domestic markets in coordination with the local partners.


  • Create and manage event strategy in alignment with the brand’s initiatives; works closely with Headquaters
  • Design, organize and execute events for retail customers and press that elevates and creates awareness for the brand
    • Drive media placements, increased sales or other as appropriate
  • Work closely with Public Relations & Events agencies to generate external media coverage and internal communications for the brand
    • Contribute to monthly newsletter
    • Support media “pitch” efforts and outreach
  • Design, organize and execute trade events such as best sales person seminars, key retailers yearly conferences, trunk shows etc. together with Sales team .
  • Write press releases for all events and distribute to PR agency and media contacts.
  • Draft such documents as pre-event “executive summaries”, and post-event “wrap reports”
  • Identify opportunities to leverage key partnerships and promotional opportunities
  • Develop measures of performance and assess events against appropriate metrics and ROI parameters
  • Support event planning for PR & Training seminars
  • Coordinate the approved PR schedule with all PR agencies in LATAM region (weekly call, etc..)
    • Develop & Dispatch the quarterly newsletters in collaboration with design agency
    • Manage Press monitoring agency (Editorial Link)
    • Prepare quarterly press clipping consolidation and provide special report following strategic event to establish press coverage ROI
    • Manage Promotional gift quarterly order and delivery + local production when required
    • Manage PR Budget and monthly review with Marketing Director
    • Social Media
    • Manage Social Media Agency in coordination with Marketing Director
    • Prepare specific action plan for strategic event on social media
    • Supervise the monthly post summary and submit the same for approval to Marketing
    • Liaise with HQ to upload specific event contents related to the region


  • 3 to 5 years of PR experience
  • Demonstrated success in event management, PR and brand promotion
  • Proven capability to manage internal and external negotiations
  • Win concessions without damaging relationships
  • Ability to be both direct and diplomatic
  • Ability to take a “hands-on” management approach to ensure deliverables
  • Established ability to manage and work within established budgets
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • A 4 year college degree in a related discipline
  • Absolute proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint and Excel
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to draft succinct written plans and reports for internal and external clients including group management
  • Outstanding ability to multitask and manage several projects at once
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Must be able to produce high-quality work based on stakeholder (marketing, sales, service) input
  • Unrestricted ability to work evenings and weekends when required for event execution and attendance
  • Fluent Spanish and possibly Portuguese
