Job Description

Company Description

Our client is an emerging luxury lifestyle company based in New York City, developing a differentiated platform across e-commerce, gifting, subscriptions, and physical retail. The business is focused on highly curated products within wine, chocolate, coffee, and tea, with an emphasis on craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and a distinctive consumer experience.

The company is currently building its core team ahead of launch and is backed by substantial founder investment. Its ambition is to develop an integrated lifestyle brand combining premium products, compelling digital experiences, community engagement, and experiential retail.

Objective of the Role

Our client is seeking a Social & Growth Marketing Manager to help build the brand’s audience, digital presence, and customer acquisition capabilities from the ground up.

Reporting directly to the Founder and working closely with the Head of Brand & Design and product experts, this individual will take ownership of social media, content, influencer and community initiatives while also contributing to paid media, retention, and growth marketing.

This is a highly hands-on role suited to an entrepreneurial marketer who enjoys both developing strategy and executing it directly within an early-stage environment.

Ideal Profile

The successful candidate will bring at least 5 years of marketing experience, including meaningful experience within a direct-to-consumer consumer brand.

The ideal background could include premium or luxury businesses across food and beverage, beauty, fashion, hospitality, gifting, or other lifestyle categories. Experience building an audience from an early stage will be particularly relevant.

Candidates should demonstrate:

  • Strong expertise in social media and content strategy
  • Hands-on content development and production experience
  • Experience developing influencer and community programs
  • Understanding of paid digital acquisition and performance marketing
  • Strong appreciation for premium positioning, craftsmanship, and consumer experience
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment

Existing relationships within New York’s food, lifestyle, media, creator, or influencer communities would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Own the company’s social media presence across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.
  • Develop and execute an organic content strategy across short-form video, long-form content, podcasts, editorial content, and other relevant formats.
  • Partner with internal product experts and brand leaders to translate the company’s positioning into compelling consumer-facing content.
  • Build and manage influencer and micro-influencer programs across relevant lifestyle communities.
  • Develop ambassador, user-generated content, and community engagement initiatives.
  • Identify partnership opportunities with complementary lifestyle, fashion, beauty, food, beverage, and hospitality brands.
  • Manage paid media activity across Meta, TikTok, Google, and other relevant channels.
  • Support email marketing, retention, subscription growth, and customer acquisition initiatives.
  • Work with the e-commerce team to improve conversion across gifting and subscription journeys.
  • Establish appropriate analytics and reporting across organic, paid, influencer, and community channels.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant marketing experience
  • Demonstrated experience within a DTC consumer environment
  • Proven ownership of social media and content strategy
  • Direct experience producing or managing high-quality content
  • Experience developing influencer or creator partnerships
  • Familiarity with paid media budgets and key performance metrics such as CAC and ROAS
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical capabilities
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work effectively with limited infrastructure
  • High level of initiative, judgment, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work full-time in New York City
