Job Description
Our Client
Our client for this Retail RFP Specialist role is an international Travel Retailer with an office in Miami for the Americas and managing stores in Airports and on Cruise Ships.
Objective
The Retail RFP Specialist is primarily responsible to foster the development of the company’s travel retail operations throughout the Americas region. Playing a vital role in formulation and participation in tenders for concession at the airports across the region, cruise retail concessions, and support the Associate Director, Corporate Strategy & Business Development in the identification and analysis of business opportunities throughout the Americas region.
Job Description
- Manage tender and acquisition projects in the international travel retail market
- Develop business plans and tender proposals for the company
- Facilitate business development activities through the planning and coordination of responses to requests for tender proposals
- Develop market entry strategies and operational models
- Build and develop a network of potential business partners
- Coordinate and liaise with external business partners, agencies and consultants
- Cooperate closely with all internal departments (Operations, Purchasing, Finance, Design, Logistics, IT and Human Resources)
- Perform on-going research, analysis and evaluate airport retailing opportunities throughout the Americas region
- Monitor and analyze the Global Travel Retail Market concerning business opportunities and growth opportunities
- Specific Market, Airport and Competitor Analysis
- Develop and maintain a market intelligence data base
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Business or Project Management, MBA preferred
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in project management and/or business development for travel retail, retail or consultancy experience (Travel Retail, Duty Free, Cruise Ship industry…)
- Strong project and time management skills
- Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral & written)
- Self-starter with ability to work independently under pressure and react quickly to changing priorities
- Possesses high level of proficiency in business modelling, PowerPoint and Excel
- Appreciated previous roles: Retail Operations Manager, Area Sales Manager, Area Manager, Area Retail Manager, Travel Retail Manager
- Appreciated previous experience: DFA, Duty Free Americas, Dufry, Starboard, Duty Free Partners, Heinemann, DFS, Duty Free Shoppers, World Duty Free Group, Perry Ellis, Louis Vuitton, Macy’s
