Objective of the Role

The US Director of Marketing, stationed in New York City, will be instrumental in steering the company through an exhilarating phase of international growth. By partnering with the VP of Global Marketing, the incumbent will architect and orchestrate a marketing strategy for one of the high-flying sunless and body care brands within the portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the VP of Global Marketing and Head of Sales to forge strategies for the Sephora partnership, anchoring on historical performance and market projections, with a comprehensive accountability for uniform brand messaging and identity.
  • Initiate and be accountable for routine brand meetings to obtain executive endorsement for all major brand initiatives.
  • Direct the brand marketing team on a day-to-day basis, supervising all facets of marketing, digital, design, and social for the brand.
  • Foster an inspirational leadership – manage, motivate, and cultivate an environment conducive to personal development and succession planning.
  • Support the management and execution of all marketing calendar activities and social campaigns with a view to reinforcing sales performance and strategy.
  • Aid in establishing global brand partnerships to elevate brand awareness, pinpoint and lead relationships with key brand partners and individuals, ensuring the maximization of opportunities for brand visibility and collaborating with Sales teams for revenue generation.
  • Devise strategies across sampling, events, press, social content, advertising, and other marketing assets and consumer touchpoints.
  • Maintain efficient internal communication to ascertain that all pertinent company functions are abreast of marketing goals.
  • Continuously analyze the competitive landscape and consumer trends, identify and manage strategic partner relationships.
  • Monitor and assess all marketing outcomes and pertinent sales data, generating detailed reports and presentations for the senior management team, evolving strategy based on outcomes.
  • Oversee budget management – ensuring cost-effectiveness and elevated ROI for all activities in alignment with brand commercial goals.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in a senior management-level marketing role within the beauty industry (ideally, bodycare/skincare focused).
  • Proven experience with Sephora is essential.
  • Demonstrated capability in creative and strategic thinking.
  • Analytical and results-driven mindset.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Appreciated previous experience: L’Oreal, Coty, Bondi Sands, Milk Makeup, E.L.F., Estee Lauder, Markwins, Sunday Riley
  • Appreciated previous titles: Head of Marketing, VP of Marketing, Marketing Director, Brand Manager, Brand Director.
