Company Description
Privately held tobacco products company headquartered in Florida with an established U.S. market presence. Operates in a highly regulated environment and commercializes a branded portfolio through a mix of compliant channels and partners. Maintains an execution-focused operating model with strong emphasis on product, compliance, and long-term continuity.
Objective of the Role
The Chief Executive Officer will lead the business through a leadership transition and assume full responsibility for strategy, performance, and risk management. The CEO will strengthen leadership effectiveness and operating cadence, ensure a best-in-class compliance posture, and drive sustainable, profitable growth while protecting brand and reputational equity.
Ideal Profile
Seasoned P&L leader (CEO/President/GM/COO) from tobacco products or a similarly regulated consumer category. Proven capability across commercial execution and operational leadership, with strong judgment, stakeholder management skills, and comfort operating in a privately held governance environment. Experience leading diverse teams; multilingual capability (including Spanish) is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Own strategy and full P&L; set KPIs, operating rhythm, and accountability.
- Lead and develop the leadership team; clarify decision rights and succession depth.
- Drive commercial performance across channels; sharpen route-to-market and portfolio focus.
- Oversee operations/supply chain via internal teams and external partners to ensure quality, service, and cost discipline.
- Maintain rigorous compliance across relevant federal/state/local requirements; partner with legal/regulatory advisors.
- Ensure strong financial stewardship (budgeting/forecasting, controls, audit readiness) and enterprise risk management.
Requirements
- 15+ years progressive leadership with senior P&L ownership in a regulated, manufacturing-led and/or consumer products business.
- Demonstrated success improving execution and compliance under scrutiny, with strong executive presence and governance-facing communication skills.
- Florida-based (or willing to relocate) with regular on-site leadership presence;
- Bachelor’s degree required.
