Company Overview

Our client is a French company that specializes in children’s fashion brands, with a current strategic focus on developing and managing US key accounts as well as some LATAM distributors.

Objective of the Role

The primary objective of the Business Development Executive is to drive business development initiatives for key accounts within the children’s fashion sector. The role is designed for a senior professional who will contribute to the expansion of the company’s market reach and enhance relationships with major retail partners.

Ideal Profile

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in sales, specifically within the children’s fashion industry. Previous roles as a Business Development Executive or Manager are preferred, demonstrating a strong capability to manage key accounts effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance business development for key retail accounts in the U.S.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with major department stores and specialty retailers.
  • Identify and secure new wholesale partnerships to broaden market distribution.
  • Negotiate terms, including pricing and promotion strategies, to achieve target margins.
  • Collaborate with internal teams across marketing, merchandising, and customer service to ensure aligned business goals.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to capitalize on new opportunities.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or business development within the fashion industry, specifically for children’s brands.
  • A robust network in the U.S. retail market, particularly with department stores and specialty retailers.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, with proficiency in retail mathematics.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional language proficiency in Spanish or French is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel regularly across the United States for account management and business development activities.
