Job Description

Company Description

Our client is an international provider of retail environment solutions, supporting premium brands and retailers with store design, fixtures, and in-store display programs. The organization operates with a global footprint and cross-functional delivery capabilities, combining design, engineering, manufacturing, and project execution to deliver high-quality retail experiences across multiple geographies.

In the U.S., the business is in a strong growth phase under new leadership. The current management team has helped accelerate commercial performance, with U.S. sales reportedly doubling year-over-year in 2025, and the company entering 2026 with a robust trajectory and an active pipeline. This is a well-capitalized platform with global operational depth and a clear mandate to expand strategically in the U.S.

Objective of the Role

The purpose of this position is to originate and win new, profitable B2B accounts in the United States for retail design and display services, ideally focused on fashion, luxury and premium consumer electronics. The successful candidate will build a high-quality pipeline, convert strategic opportunities into long-term customers, and collaborate with internal and international stakeholders to ensure disciplined pursuit execution and effective handover once business is secured.

Ideal Profile

The ideal candidate is a structured, consultative new business developer with a demonstrable track record of winning complex opportunities (often RFI/RFP-led) in retail design, shopfitting, fixtures, visual merchandising, experiential retail, or closely related services. They are comfortable engaging senior decision-makers at major brands and retailers, and they can map and influence multiple stakeholders across retail development, visual merchandising, procurement, and operations. A background selling into luxury and premium segments is strongly preferred (e.g., high-end watches/jewelry, premium fashion/apparel, beauty), with the maturity to navigate conflicts and white-space targeting when certain competitors or categories may be sensitive.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and prioritize strategic opportunities with multi-site, multi-year potential; build a focused pipeline with clear pursuit rationale and value sizing.
  • Develop and execute account plans that “network” an organization across functions and geographies to create durable commercial relationships.
  • Lead end-to-end pursuit management: discovery, stakeholder mapping, solution shaping, proposal development, pricing inputs, and contract negotiation.
  • Drive RFI/RFP/tender processes with discipline, ensuring deadlines, internal alignment, and compelling differentiators in pitches and presentations.
  • Coordinate internal teams (design, engineering, operations, and leadership) to mobilize the right resources for each pursuit and to maintain a consistent client experience.
  • Provide regular, structured reporting on pipeline health, probability, timing, risks, and required actions.
  • Support a clean handover to account management/delivery teams once new business is secured to ensure continuity and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Minimum ~5+ years of B2B new business development experience in retail design/fixtures/displays/shopfitting/experiential retail, or an adjacent commercial services environment selling into premium brands/retailers.
  • Evidence of a strong win ratio in competitive pursuits, including senior-level negotiation and multi-stakeholder decision dynamics.
  • Existing U.S. network within target buyer groups (e.g., Retail Development, Store Planning, Visual Merchandising, Procurement, Retail Operations).
  • Highly organized and metrics-oriented: capable of maintaining rigorous pursuit notes, timelines, and forecasting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present credibly to senior stakeholders.
  • Location preference: California, New York, or Chicago (open to the best candidate nationally). Travel as required.
