Job Description

Our Client

Our client for this CFO – Chief Financial Officer is a For-Profit company raising grants from governments state and local to provide workforce development services to the community.

Ideal Profile

We need a CFO with a CPA coming for a company financed by grants! Experience in acquisition integration is a plus, as the company just made an acquisition.

Job Descriptions

  • Provide leadership, direction and management to a team of six finance professionals
  • Provide strategic recommendations to the Company leadership
  • Manage the processes for financial forecasting and budgets and oversee the preparation of all financial reporting
  • Present monthly EBITDA and supporting schedules to Parent company
  • Establish and develop relations with senior management, external partners and stakeholders
  • Review and update all formal accounting procedures
  • Manage the company’s cash flow. Provide weekly updates to management
  • Monitor and manage monthly KPI’s for the department
  • Review aging receivables, perform funder outreach in an effort to collect past due amounts.
  • Manage the company’s property and liability insurance. Monitor levels of insurance for adequate coverage
  • Prepare tax schedules for outside tax accountants
  • Maintain banking relationships
  • Manage the annual external audit
  • Oversee funder audits as required
  • Assist HR with financial related matters
  • Manage VP of Technology and oversee IT function
  • Respond to financial requests from parent company

 

Requirements

  • CPA required
  • Experience with government contracting required
  • Minimum of 8-10 years CFO experience with minimum annual revenues of $30 million required
  • Knowledge of Workforce Development a plus
  • Experience with cost allocations
  • Ability to engage staff at all levels and exercise sound judgement
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong excel skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Appreciated previous titles: VP of Finance, CFO, Chief Financial Officer
