Objective of the Role:
The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) will lead the company’s overall marketing strategy and execution, driving brand awareness, customer acquisition, and sales growth. As a key member of the leadership team, the CMO will develop and implement innovative digital marketing initiatives to enhance the company’s online presence, establish a strong brand identity, and scale the business.
Ideal Profile:
The ideal candidate for the CMO role is a creative and strategic thinker with a passion for the beauty industry and extensive experience in digital marketing, eCommerce, and brand development. They should possess excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as a proven track record of success in growing a DNVB. The candidate should also have a strong understanding of data-driven marketing, online customer acquisition, and customer retention strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to increase brand awareness, drive customer acquisition, and foster customer loyalty.
- Oversee all digital marketing initiatives, including social media, email marketing, content marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), paid advertising, and influencer partnerships.
- Manage and optimize the eCommerce platform to ensure seamless customer experience and maximize sales performance.
- Collaborate with the product development team to create and launch new products, ensuring effective communication of the brand’s unique selling points.
- Drive data-driven decision making by leveraging analytics and customer insights to inform marketing strategies and measure their impact on business objectives.
- Build and lead a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and innovation.
- Work closely with the executive team to align marketing strategies with the company’s overall business goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably within the beauty industry.
- Strong background in digital marketing, eCommerce, and online customer acquisition strategies.
- Proven success in growing a DNVB through innovative marketing campaigns and brand development.
- Experience with managing and optimizing eCommerce platforms.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to change.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision making.
