Our client is an established company in the jewelry sector with a long-standing market presence and a recognized product offering spanning classic and trend-oriented designs. The business is at an important stage of evolution and is seeking to strengthen its digital capabilities in order to accelerate online growth across both direct-to-consumer and business-to-business channels. The e-commerce function is already operational, with activity managed through Shopify and a B2B ordering platform, but it remains underdeveloped relative to its commercial potential. The company is therefore looking to appoint an E-commerce Manager who can bring greater structure, performance focus, and day-to-day ownership to this area of the business.

Objective of the Role

The E-commerce Manager will be responsible for managing and improving the company’s online business across its digital sales platforms. The role is intended for a hands-on, mid-level professional capable of operating with a high degree of independence while helping to professionalize and expand the e-commerce function. This person will oversee site performance, digital merchandising, content quality, promotional execution, and online customer experience, while identifying practical opportunities to grow revenue and improve conversion. The position is well suited to someone who combines commercial acumen with operational discipline and who is comfortable building structure in an environment that is ready for further digital development.

Ideal Profile

The ideal candidate will bring solid experience in e-commerce management for a consumer brand, preferably within jewelry, accessories, fashion, or another visually driven category. He or she should have a strong command of Shopify, online merchandising principles, digital marketing fundamentals, and performance analysis. The successful candidate will be sufficiently senior to manage the function independently, while remaining hands-on in execution. Experience across both DTC and B2B digital environments would be advantageous. Our client is seeking an individual who is organized, commercially minded, proactive, and capable of improving an existing platform without the need for extensive supervision. Familiarity with online growth levers such as SEO, paid media, email marketing, and conversion optimization will be important.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day management of the company’s e-commerce activities across its online sales platforms.
  • Maintain high standards of product presentation, product information accuracy, pricing, and on-site merchandising.
  • Monitor site performance, traffic, conversion, and sales trends, and recommend actions to improve commercial results.
  • Develop and implement practical initiatives to grow online revenue and enhance the digital customer experience.
  • Coordinate promotional calendars, campaign execution, and product launches in partnership with internal stakeholders.
  • Support SEO, paid search, email marketing, and other digital acquisition or retention efforts.
  • Analyze customer behavior and site data using relevant analytics tools and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Partner cross-functionally with sales, marketing, design, and other internal teams to ensure alignment and timely execution.
  • Contribute to improving processes, tools, and reporting within the e-commerce function as the business continues to scale.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in e-commerce, digital commerce, or online sales management.
  • Strong proficiency with Shopify is required.
  • Demonstrated understanding of SEO, digital merchandising, analytics, and conversion optimization.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Ads, email marketing tools, and related digital platforms.
  • Comfort working in a hands-on role within a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong communication, organization, and project coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and common project management tools; familiarity with creative or web-editing tools is a plus.
  • Experience in jewelry, accessories, fashion, or a comparable product category is strongly preferred
