Job Description
Our Client
Our client for this Finance Manager (FP&A) role is a cigar division of a large tobacco group.
Objective
Our client, a leader in e-commerce and retail of cigars, is searching for an FP&A Manager responsible for financial reporting processes as well as financial planning, key performance management, trend analysis and budget. This position is a working manager role with hands on responsibilities as it relates to the budgeting, planning, forecasting, analysis and reporting functions of the entire business.
Job Description
- Coordinate and lead the annual business planning process
- Provide reforecasts during the year and make recommendations and provide insight to strengthen the market’s finance performance
- Partner with different stakeholders to provide the most accurate estimate of the financial impact of these opportunities; evaluate feasibility and any associated risks
- Complete monthly actual vs. budget vs. latest estimate variance analysis
- Provide trending analysis and management reporting
- Create analytical tools and streamline information
- Provide real time information to decision makers
- Prepares monthly financial reporting including variance and financial statement analysis
- Able to clearly communicate a cohesive and concise story around business drivers behind financial data and potential implications on future results
- Demonstrates proficiency of technical tools and financial systems
- Other accounting and financial job duties as assigned
- Ensure forecasts and analysis projects are conducted credibly and that recommendations and reports are accurate and timely
- Liaison with senior business leaders to ensure alignment with short and long-term business goals
- Identifies to management potential areas of opportunities and risks
- Drives business value by providing financial and analytical counsel to facilitate decision-marking around strategic business initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s degree preferred
- Requires at least 5 years related experience
- Retail E-Commerce and Wholesale Retail Experience a plus
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail.
- Expert Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Full understanding of the LE process (forecasting, investment)
- Ability to confidently challenge managers across the business and to discuss / financial impacts with various departmental stakeholders
- Advanced aptitude in problem solving
- Demonstrates a mutual interest in customers goals and business
- Strong leadership skills with proven ability to lead and manage
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting and processes
- Experience with creating reporting tools and budget
