Our client is an innovative fintech company specializing in digital remittance services, primarily targeting immigrant populations across various regions, including the U.S., U.K., and Canada. The company is now focused on developing the Latin American and Caribbean markets.
Objective of the Role
The Head of Growth – LATAM & Caribbean will spearhead the company’s expansion initiatives within these regions, focusing on user acquisition and engagement. This role aims to enhance the organization’s market presence and elevate its brand reputation among the diasporan communities.
Ideal Profile
The ideal candidate is a growth-oriented professional, ideally with experience in the remittance sector, preferably from organizations like Remitly or Wise. If not, we need professional coming from digital consumer services focused on user acquisition too like Uber, Airbnb, etc… They will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of the Latin American immigrant markets, and a robust network within these communities. The role is a combination of digital marketing (supported by the internal marketing team) and off-line partnerships with communities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic partnerships to enhance product growth in the LATAM and Caribbean markets.
- Lead efforts to significantly expand the user base across the regions.
- Oversee operations related to the newly established LATAM and Caribbean markets.
- Foster a strong and loyal user community within the targeted regions.
- Design and implement localized marketing strategies that resonate with the regional audience.
- Collaborate with global headquarters and other offices to deliver an optimal localized experience.
- Engage with local businesses to secure essential resources and services.
- Conduct comprehensive market research to understand trends and user needs.
- Compile and present monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on growth and development.
- Develop strong networks within local communities and nurture professional relationships.
- Ensure alignment with deadlines and budget requirements.
- Adapt the business model to maintain cultural relevance while preserving the company’s identity.
Requirements
- A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably within the fintech or remittance sectors.
- Exceptional analytical, research, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Experience in new initiatives and business development.
- Ability to adapt to global operational needs and thrive in a dynamic business environment.
- Advanced education degrees are preferred but not mandatory.
