Job Description
Our Client
Our client is a very high end fine Jewelry brand with their US headquarters in NYC.
Objective
Responsible for domestic and international jewelry shipments, salon requests and monthly inventory, coordinate repairs and special orders for the workshop, QC incoming/outgoing jewelry, define best practices and efficiencies, all related administrative tasks
Responsibilities
Process merchandise requests for U.S. inventory
- Assess jewelry merchandise requests to determine necessity and priority, excluding high jewelry and engagement rings
- Assess ramifications for moving items and disrupting stock balance; alert Analyst when stock balance is affected
- Keep track of requests through follow up with sales associates and return merchandise as necessary
- Maintain merchandise request log
- Improve procedures and efficiencies
Process all repairs and special orders for the workshop
- Receive and assess work to be done, escalate to manager if needed
- Provide estimates to sales associates and communicate information adequately
- Qualify complimentary repairs
- Create instructions for the workshop and communicate with foreman
- Track all repairs in the workshop; ensure deadlines are met
- Perform thorough quality control of all items that leave the workshop before they are sent to a salon/client
- Create production documentation for HQ
- Maintain workshop tracking logs
- Coordinate the setting of new loose, unmounted stock and prepare for distribution.
- Improve procedures and efficiencies
Responsible for all shipments: domestic and international
- Pack/open shipments
- Create all documentation needed for international shipments
- Maintain and track TIB schedule and closings
- Create and accept all transfers in SAP
- Monitor status of shipments for delays
- Arrange client deliveries and pick-ups
- Provide direction to salons on when and where to ship merchandise
- Communicate with Fedex and Malca Amit
- Alert Product and Merchandising Manager when violations of shipping policy occur
- Conduct monthly stock inventory for office, and coordinate store discrepancies and reconciliations with London HQ.

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience in similar roll in jewelry company
- College graduate
- Experience with the office environment and corporate policies and procedures
- Excellent PC skills (Microsoft Suite – digital imaging – shared files – SAP)
- Strong product knowledge
- Ability to prioritize
- Ability to create and maintain accurate Excel spreadsheets
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail
- Highly organized
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interact efficiently with others and work with a team
- Self starter – able to work independently
- Must be able to work outside of regular hours as needed
