Our Client
Our client for this position is Belgian mid-size international Premium Chocolate brand, with very strong export business around the globe.
Objective
The Key Account Manager is the genuine point of contact between the company and its American resellers. The Business Development Manager will be responsible to grow the business in its strategic markets (mostly US, some Latin America) through the company’s store network (operated by local resellers) and through a specific Route-to-market. The key pillars will include identification of strategic partnerships to develop the brand in the US, development of profit, volume and share goals in the US market, and National/Regional Key accounts management tasks.
Job Description
- Identify and develop strategic partnerships with key national and regional players
- Identify new business development opportunities to guarantee further business growth
- Develop relationships with designated Key Accounts
- Take responsibility for sales pipeline development objectives and revenue targets
- Carefully develop and closely control the sales & marketing plan
- Take responsibility and ownership of the P&L of the US & LATAM regions: manage your sales forecasts and marketing budgets precisely, analyze your monthly sales and explain variances
- Constantly gather and analyse relevant market and competition data to anticipate the consumer needs and to ensure correct market positioning
- Regularly visit local sales forces and local resellers to fully understand the customer needs and anticipate upcoming market trends
- Use consultative selling skills to address new potential customers and develop relevant business solutions
- Take responsibility for problem solving for operational or executional issues with the customers
Requirements
- Successful previous international business development experience in the Retail sector
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Strong abilities to analyse and anticipate market trends
- Hands-on, problem solver and results focused
- Highly customer oriented, capability to work autonomously and team oriented
- Fluent in English and French
