Positioned uniquely in the market, their products are considered drivable art and highly sought-after collectible artworks. With a strong financial and cultural foundation, they are poised for significant growth and seek a visionary manager to elevate their gallery during this exciting expansion phase.

Objective of the Role

The Gallery Manager will be responsible for shaping and executing a forward-thinking strategy to drive the gallery’s growth. This role involves managing daily operations, enhancing client relationships, leading the team, ensuring compliance, and overseeing financial aspects to maintain the highest luxury standards.

Ideal Profile

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a leadership role within a gallery, retail, or luxury goods environment. They should possess a strong understanding of sales processes, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively. A licensed driver with extensive knowledge of vehicular operations is preferred, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams. A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Art History, or a related field is desirable.

Responsibilities

  1. Operational Management:
    • Oversee daily operations, including scheduling, staffing, and maintaining operational efficiency.
    • Ensure the gallery space is meticulously maintained, reflecting luxury standards, with regular interior design updates and seasonal décor changes.
    • Manage the condition and relocation of display cars, scheduling regular maintenance.
    • Collaborate with vendors and contractors to address gallery space needs such as electrical upgrades, IT support, cleaning, and maintenance.
    • Oversee importation processes for new vehicle models and ensure timely customs clearance.
    • Coordinate client deliveries, focusing on quality assurance and exceptional customer service.
    • Lead warranty implementations by establishing robust procedures and managing resolution processes for customer satisfaction.
    • Conduct frequent site visits to maintain consistency in service standards and operational procedures.
    • Execute event logistics, including vehicle transfers, setup, and display to enhance event aesthetics.
    • Manage event logistics, including catering, security, and staffing to ensure seamless execution.
  2. Sales and Client Relations:
    • Drive sales through proactive appointment setting and local marketing events.
    • Lead CRM follow-up and outreach efforts, ensuring effective client relationship management.
    • Implement sales-driven initiatives to enhance client experience.
    • Set pricing strategies, manage commissions, and achieve sales targets.
  3. Team Leadership and Development:
    • Provide leadership to the gallery team, ensuring performance goals are met.
    • Conduct training and coaching sessions in collaboration with the VP Commercial and HR team.
    • Foster a supportive and motivating work environment.
  4. Administrative and Legal Compliance:
    • Manage documentation related to warranties, terms of sales, and customer service.
    • Coordinate with legal departments to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
    • Communicate operational and logistical needs effectively with internal stakeholders.
  5. Financial Oversight:
    • Review operational budgets with the VP Commercial to ensure financial targets are met.
    • Manage inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels and flow.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a gallery, retail, or luxury goods environment.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes and client relationship management.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Licensed to drive with a strong knowledge of vehicular operations.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Art History, or related field preferred.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and potentially internationally for operational and managerial responsibilities.
