Job Description

Company Description

Our client is a rapidly expanding direct-to-consumer activewear and lifestyle brand headquartered in Missouri City, Texas. Founded in 2015 by a successful YouTube creator and entrepreneur, the brand was built on the strength of digital influence and authentic storytelling. The founder’s large online audience provided the initial momentum that propelled the company into the fitness and lifestyle market, creating a community-driven business with a deeply engaged following.

Today, the company employs approximately 30 team members and operates a sophisticated in-house creative and media department. With a loyal global customer base, it continues to grow across North America and Europe while maintaining its reputation for authenticity, innovation, and community connection.

Objective of the Role

The Vice President of Marketing will lead the strategic direction, organization, and execution of the company’s marketing efforts. Reporting directly to the Founder & CEO, this executive will oversee all aspects of brand development, digital marketing, influencer partnerships, creative production, and community engagement.

This is a newly established executive leadership position—transitioning the company’s marketing operations from a founder-led model to a data-driven, scalable, and high-performing marketing organization. The position begins with a 60-day probationary period to assess alignment in leadership, execution, and performance before transitioning into a permanent role.

Ideal Profile

The ideal candidate is a strategic and creative marketing leader with a proven ability to build and scale consumer-facing, digitally native brands. They should be fluent in influencer and creator marketing, social and digital media strategy, and community-led brand growth. The successful individual will combine creative vision with analytical discipline, excelling in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial culture that values authenticity and innovation.

Experience within activewear, lifestyle, or beauty sectors—and familiarity with influencer-driven businesses—is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that drives brand awareness, customer engagement, and revenue growth.
  • Oversee all marketing functions, including brand management, content creation, digital media, influencer relations, and paid marketing.
  • Lead and mentor the in-house media and creative teams, ensuring alignment of storytelling, brand voice, and visual identity.
  • Design and manage influencer and creator partnership strategies to strengthen the brand’s reach and credibility.
  • Oversee digital campaigns, social media channels, email marketing, and paid media to optimize performance and ROI.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership, product, and operations to align marketing initiatives with overall business objectives.
  • Analyze consumer insights and performance metrics to refine marketing decisions and strategy.
  • Champion a consistent and emotionally resonant brand experience across all customer touchpoints.
  • Foster a collaborative and creative team culture that reflects the company’s youthful, community-focused spirit.

Requirements

  • 8–12 years of progressive marketing leadership experience, ideally within consumer lifestyle, apparel, or beauty sectors.
  • Proven success scaling direct-to-consumer or digitally native brands.
  • Strong expertise in influencer marketing, social media strategy, content production, and brand storytelling.
  • Experience leading creative teams and managing complex marketing campaigns.
  • Analytical, data-oriented approach with the ability to balance creativity and performance.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and presentation skills.
  • Adaptable, empathetic, and hands-on leadership style suited to a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
