Our client for this Sales Manager position is an established mid-size leather garment company, with its headquarters located in Asia. They have established a good reputation selling leather garments and have now prepared the launch of a new leather furniture line using their existing distribution infrastructure in Oceanside, NY.
Objective of the Role
The Sales Manager will play a crucial role in spearheading the introduction and distribution of the new leather furniture division in the United States. Focused around the Oceanside, NY office and with the flexibility of a hybrid working schedule, the individual will be responsible for establishing, growing, and managing relationships with retail key accounts, hospitality, and foodservice sectors. They will strategically position the brand in the market, ensuring optimal visibility, customer engagement, and market penetration to drive revenue and growth.

They should possess a strategic mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build and nurture relationships. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively, while navigating cross-cultural business environments will distinguish the successful candidate.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to introduce and establish the new leather furniture line within the targeted markets.
- Identify, secure, and manage relationships with key retail accounts, hospitality, and foodservice partners.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges; and develop strategies to optimize market penetration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams at the Oceanside office and Asia headquarters to ensure alignment of sales strategies with the overall company objectives.
- Deliver sales targets, monitor performance metrics, and develop action plans to enhance growth and profitability.
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years of sales experience, with a focus on retail, hospitality, and foodservice sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
- Proven experience in opening and expanding markets, launching new products, and building strong partnerships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a multicultural and cross-functional environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed to build and support customer relationships, attend trade shows, and industry events.
