Job Description
Our Client
Our client is a European manufacturer and distributor of premium beauty equipment dedicated to professionals. They were using a distributor in the US for the past few years but are now taking over the business and starting to address the market directly with this new Country Manager position. The company already has 7 international offices and is serving customers in 47 countries around the world.
Objective
They are looking for a Country Manager to lead the commercial organization and sales activities of aesthetic capital equipment in various areas throughout the United States. This is a wonderful opportunity with a fast-growing aesthetics European company, which consistently develops new products with cutting-edge technology. The plan is to open 4 showrooms in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston in about 1 year.
Responsibilities
- Define sales strategy and geographic coverage in USA country
- Create Sales organization at national level and ensuring country market penetration vs goals
- Identify key aesthetic/medical beauty clinic/centers and drive sales of devices within USA sales territory
- Organize and manage the sales process of devices into new aesthetic/medical beauty clinic/centers and upgrades existing ones;
- Build pipeline, define pipeline progression and ongoing activity of the sales organization
- Lead sales managers to plan and execute territory strategies to win account opportunities and achieve overall sales targets on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Design strategy to generate market awareness and build technology advocacy teams at each aesthetic/medical beauty clinic/centers
- Develop relationship with aesthetic/medical beauty clinic/centers managers/ administrators
- Define quarterly, monthly, and weekly plans designed to maximize customer relationships and improve face-to-face selling time in assigned territory
- Create and implement growth and development plans for sales team members and/or leaders
- Participate in the hiring, training and development of a high performing sales team
- Coach and mentor sales team members by conducting weekly one on one meetings, side by side coaching, role playing, as well as other activities
- Conduct individual performance appraisals of team members and take needed action regarding their progress/results
- Accountable for revenue, profit, cost management, and to develop & deploy a go to market strategy that aligns to our people, culture, values and growth vision
- Responsible for sales activities to include maintaining and expanding sales within the existing customer base, prospecting, and building a pipeline for new business opportunities to include competitive and targeted accounts
- Travel in the United States for training, tradeshows, and company/team meetings is required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required (Sales, Marketing preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years sales experience beauty/healthcare capital sales
- Knowledge of the aesthetic market /business
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven successful track record in capital equipment sales
- Sales management experience (must to have)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to travel more than 50%, dependent upon account distribution
- Success in introducing new technologies to the market is a plus
- Ability to manage a multi-product, sales team and network
- Strong analytical and strategic thinker
- Result-oriented and with a proven track record
- Motivated by working for a KPI driven company with strong focus on results
- Strong people leadership experience with the ability to lead, motivate and influence a team of sales consultants and/or sales leaders
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience leading people and/or leaders, preferably within a sales capacity
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the direct sales of products or professional services
- Professional level written and oral communication skills
- Strong and effective negotiation skills
- Excellent organization, prioritization and time management skills
- Proven ability to effectively operate and communicate in a matrix environment and work effectively with sales management, aesthetic/physician customers, and across organizational boundaries
- Effective analytical and problem-solving abilities
