Job Description

Our Client

Our client for this General Manager opportunity is a very small family owned single product company that has been stable and successful for 15 years, based on a recognized and patented innovation.

Objective

The objective of the General Manager will be to run the day to day of the business and build a strategic plan for the years to come. They are many opportunities to keep building sales (open new accounts and new markets domestically and internationally), and to maximize the product and the brand’s potential.

Ideal Profile

We are looking a someone coming from the fine wine industry and with experience in running a small P&L (of a division, business unit, brand…).

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute sales and marketing plans
  • Oversee operations including: P&L/Budget /Accounting (e.g., information to accountant); Legal (e.g., patent infringement)
  • Supply chain (fabrication & assembly providers, inventory management, quality control, packaging QA)
  • Day to day operations, including all aspects of:
    • Marketing and sales
    • Web site (e.g., maintaining operational status, updates, changes, via 3rd party support)
    • FSI Fulfillment Center, Amazon portal oversight
    • Customer and retail channel engagement (e.g., respond to emails and other queries)
    • Manage one employee
  • Communicating with/Reporting to Ownership

Requirements

  • Around 5-10 years of previous experience in the wine industry
  • Previous P&L management experience.
  • Demonstrated customer relations/engagement.
  • Demonstrated sales, sales development and marketing
  • Demonstrated profit and loss responsibility
  • Real-time problem solving, entrepreneurial skill set
