Objective of the Role

The Marketing Manager, acting as the Head of Marketing, is charged with the significant task of elevating our client’s international brand, focusing on brand development rather than promotional marketing. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Marketing Manager will meticulously craft and implement marketing strategies, emphasizing content creation and social media, to enhance brand presence and engagement.

Ideal Profile

The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience from the tobacco industry or other regulated sectors, including wines & spirits, pharmaceutical, or skincare. A dynamic individual, they possess a distinct aptitude for branding, enriched by an insightful understanding of international markets. Proficiency in Photoshop and a knack for innovative content creation are essential, promising a blend of creativity and strategic thinking.

Responsibilities

  • The Marketing Manager is tasked with the development and execution of innovative marketing and product strategies, tailored to resonate with international audiences and aligned with the company’s objectives.
  • Brand management is central to the role, ensuring consistency and strength in brand identity across all channels.
  • The Manager will be pivotal in crafting engaging content and leveraging social media to enhance brand presence and engagement.
  • Leading a dedicated marketing team, the Manager will instill a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence, with no focus on advertising or paid search.

In the initial 90 days, the Marketing Manager will be expected to establish a high-performing marketing team and execute a content marketing strategy that amplifies brand authority and educates customers. The unification of brand identity across product packaging, promotional materials, and social media platforms is a priority, as well as the design and launch of customized promotional trade marketing initiatives for distributors and retail chains.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess advanced proficiency in English, both spoken and written, and demonstrate a proven track record in leadership roles within the tobacco or other regulated industries.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills are paramount, alongside creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • The role demands robust project management skills and a proactive approach to challenges, emphasizing results-oriented strategies and taking full ownership of tasks and projects.
