Our client is a leading international luxury spirits company renowned for its exceptional portfolio of high-end products. Committed to crafting the finest spirits, they combine traditional techniques with modern innovation to deliver unparalleled experiences. With a strong emphasis on exclusivity and quality, the company maintains a prestigious brand image and a global presence, catering to a discerning clientele.

Objective of the Role

The Private Clients Director will play a crucial role in expanding the brand’s presence among Ultra-High Net Worth Individuals (UHNWI) in Mexico. By leveraging storytelling, prospecting, training, and networking, the director will focus on growing the brand’s clientele, recruiting new high-potential clients, and enhancing brand desirability. The position will involve a balance of sales (70%) and marketing support (30%), emphasizing direct engagement with HNWIs to drive brand growth and loyalty.

Ideal Profile

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience and a proven track record in the luxury goods sector, including high-end spirits, watches, cars, or jewelry. A well-established network of UHNWIs is essential, along with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in French is highly desirable. The candidate should possess a deep understanding of the luxury market in Mexico and be passionate about the luxury lifestyle, including interests in music, art, fashion, jewelry, and luxury timepieces. A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage direct relationships with high-net-worth clients across Mexico, focusing on those with specific interests and lifestyles aligned with the brand.
  • Collaborate with key prestige on-premise venues (bars, restaurants, hotels) to drive client engagement and create traffic through staff training and exclusive events.
  • Plan and execute high-profile brand events to attract and engage existing and prospective clients, enhancing brand visibility and desirability.
  • Establish a sustainable network of HNWIs through strategic networking, prospecting, and leveraging existing platforms.
  • Organize joint events with other luxury brands (e.g., Rolex, Rolls Royce, Prada) to showcase the brand to a broader audience.
  • Work closely with fostering agents and private client consultants to maintain and expand client relationships.
  • Implement loyalty and rewards programs to enhance client retention and repeat sales.
  • Utilize CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) to manage client databases, track client interactions, and generate insights for targeted marketing.
  • Analyze client data to understand trends, spending patterns, and opportunities for growth.
  • Develop and execute brand strategies to increase sales volume and market share, focusing on both qualitative and quantitative growth.
  • Support brand ambassadors in executing client experience action plans and generating direct sales opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development of the brand’s overall strategy, including participation in PR activities and identification of new business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in luxury goods or relevant fields focused on direct sales to HNWIs.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets and manage high-profile client relationships effectively.
  • Strong network within the UHNWI community and experience working with fostering agents and private client consultants.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Mexican luxury market and client behavior.
  • Flexibility to work outside regular business hours and travel as required.
  • Experience in the financial or luxury industry is preferred, with a background in B2B, B2C, or private wealth management highly advantageous.
