Objective of the Role
The Sales Executive will spearhead business development efforts by identifying and cultivating new opportunities in the incentive travel industry. This role demands a proven track record in incentive travel sales, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to build meaningful client relationships. The ideal candidate will combine a deep understanding of incentive program design with strategic selling expertise to achieve revenue goals.
Ideal Profile
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of proven success in selling incentive travel programs, including full-service trip management.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the incentive travel industry, beyond hotels or air travel, with experience managing complex itineraries involving multiple vendors and stakeholders.
- Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Attributes: Professional, organized, and results-driven, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
- Location: Ideally based in Southern California, though remote candidates within the U.S. will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Actively pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and leveraging digital tools such as social media platforms.
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential clients and tailor approaches to meet their specific needs.
- Develop and deliver compelling presentations to showcase the company’s services and value proposition.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their expectations are exceeded at every stage of the engagement.
- Prepare detailed sales reports, including progress toward goals, pipeline updates, and new prospects.
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences to expand business networks and uncover new opportunities.
- Negotiate and close deals, addressing and resolving any concerns or objections raised by clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the seamless delivery of incentive travel programs.
- Handle other related responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Demonstrated success in selling comprehensive incentive travel programs, not limited to specific services such as hotels or flights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM tools.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, adaptable across all organizational levels.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events.
