Our client is one of the largest European wine company and still family owned. They have a small office in Miami managing the US market.
The ideal candidate will manage, develop and oversee the back-end operations for the company in the USA & Canada. The position requires a self-motivated, highly organized leader with a want to grow with the company and take on new projects and responsibilities. The USA is the fastest growing market for the company and the USA is the worlds #1 adult beverage market. Thus, tremendous upside for growth in our family owned business. We are looking for a junior high potential operations professional interested in a fast growing company providing lots of growth opportunities.
The objective of the Operations Manager role is to run the back-end of this still small US wine operations. The Operations Manager will support the US Area Manager (head of the office) for business development, but also manage the 3 other employee (accountant, compliance coordinator and office manager). The role is mainly customer service, logistics, supply chain, compliance and management. The Operations Manager will also act as the head of the office when the Area Manager is traveling.
Ideally 2-3 years of operations experience in the import business of either wine & spirits or food and beverage.
Wine & Spirits previous experience would be a plus but not a must.
Very good knowledge of MS Excel is highly preferred
