Objective of the Role

The Sales & Marketing Manager will act as the commercial head for the trims division, taking over leadership of the sales and marketing function directly from the CEO, who has managed it for the past 15 years. The goal of the role is to develop new business opportunities, grow key brand relationships, and drive overall sales across the trims portfolio in North America.

Ideal Profile

The ideal candidate has deep experience in the textile or apparel supply chain, with proven expertise in trims, textiles, or apparel-related components. They bring an active network of decision-makers at fashion brands and retailers, especially in private label or branded development. They combine strong strategic thinking with hands-on commercial execution, and ideally have worked in both sales and marketing capacities within leading global or regional organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all sales and marketing activities for the trims division in North America
  • Develop and maintain relationships with major fashion and apparel brands
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities across the trims product range
  • Present the company’s product offering to designers, sourcing managers, and product developers
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and long-term agreements with customers
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings
  • Collaborate with production and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
  • Design and implement targeted marketing initiatives to enhance brand visibility and client engagement

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of sales and/or marketing experience in the textile, trims, or apparel industry
  • Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing components such as interlinings, elastics, zippers, or similar
  • Active network of contacts at leading U.S. fashion brands and retailers
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Experience in managing or supporting marketing campaigns, trade show presence, or digital initiatives
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating across global teams
  • Based in or able to relocate to the NYC area, with regular travel as required
