Our client is a well-established organization with a 40-year history in the vintage signed jewelry market. Originally focused on dealer-to-dealer transactions, the company has recently transitioned towards a retail-centric business model, with the opening of their first retail location six years ago and plans to launch a second retail location in early 2026. This evolution marks a significant shift in their operational strategy as they expand their reach into the high-end retail sector.
Objective of the Role
The Accounting Manager / Controller will serve as the pivotal financial leader within the organization, responsible for overseeing financial operations across three locations: a wholesale site in New York and retail sites in Palm Beach and eventually Bal Harbour in early 2026. In addition to maintaining the three places of business, they will also be responsible for the personal finances of ownership. This role requires a hands-on professional who can independently manage financial processes while collaborating with external partners for accounting purposes.

Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of financial operations including bookkeeping, monthly sales reporting, bill payments, and sales tax compliance.
- Ensuring timely and accurate processing of personal and business related payments.
- Coordinate with a third-party CPA for year-end tax preparation and financial audits as well as providing information as needed in a timely manner.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to support business decisions and strategic planning.
- Utilize QuickBooks and Microsoft Office to maintain financial records and reporting accuracy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Controller, Accounting Manager or similar role.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Willingness to engage and grow with the company as it expands its retail operations.
- Fluent English speaking.
