Our Client

Our client for this Finance & Operations Manager position is a very famous international Luxury Goods company.

Ideal Profile

We are looking for an experienced, ambitious and energetic Finance & Operations Manager with a strong financial (accounting and controlling) track record as well as leadership experience of a comparable team with the ability to take over further operational responsibilities such as Sales Administration, logistics and strong business partnership within the business and Management Team. The right candidate shall be familiar with working within an international company and reporting to headquarters preferably in a senior Financial role.

Objective

The company is looking to engage a Finance & Operations Manager, who will have responsibility for the Finance (Accounting, Reporting and Controlling), support functions (HR, IT, Sales Administration/ Back Office and logistics) of the subsidiary. The Finance & Operations Manager acts as a true business partner to the management team and ensures accurate and on-time transparency of the business results as well as providing key insights and data, supports the development of the business strategy and qualified decision making. The role will work closely with the Group Financial team, support functions (IT, HR), Sales Administration and logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Set up overall local structure and leadership to the Finance and Sales Administration/back office functions
  • Manage local capital requests, budgeting processes, accounting, reporting, controlling, financial activities and analysis, treasury, risk management, transfer pricing, direct and indirect taxation
  • Optimize net working capital, net liquidity
  • Ensure monthly reporting to Group Finance, collect the required documents prepared to support efficient, and clear reporting (monthly reports, forecast, end year closing etc.) according to internal and external regulations
  • Lead and monitor business initiatives and programs to drive local growth and profitability
  • Develop and roll out key performance drivers aligned to the business plan that support business growth, profitability and efficiency
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the local F&A as well as Sales Administration teams
  • Act as a real business partner with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure that all Financial transactions comply with local legislation
  • Represent the interests of the company towards external partners

Requirements

  • University degree (Bachelor, Masters or Ph.D) in Economics, Business Administration or comparable preferably majoring in Finance/Accounting
  • At least 10 years of progressive work experience with a solid accounting/audit background out of which 3-5 years in a senior finance function within a manufacturing company
  • Proven ability to manage and drive a Finance and Administration team with particular abilities in business support and controlling
  • Experience of managing teams and working across international affiliates
  • Up to date technical financial reporting knowledge
  • Experience of owning and producing statutory financial statements
  • Excellent SAP skills and experience in implementing IT solutions
  • Experience in change management and leading teams in challenging times
  • High social competence; team player with management experience and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work very independently and with high motivation
  • Resilience, determination, accuracy and reliability
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment
  • Intellectually sharp with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Drive and ability to continuously improve processes aimed to support business profitability
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in German and English
