Our Client

The Travel Retail Americas subsidiary of a well known Group in the Luxury Goods industry.

Objective

The Retail & Education Executive will be responsible for achieving business results and ensuring Superior Customer Service in the retail stores of a specific region. Grow and maximize retail sales. Recruit, develop, motivate, evaluate, coach & train in-store staff. Maintain brand image by adhering to merchandising guidelines & schematics.
Plan & execute effective promotions. Incorporates Global Shopper strategies in all retail aspects. Communicate, report, administer, build strong relationships.

Ideal Profile

We are looking for either a Junior professional, with a big potential and a targeted mid-term (2 to 3 years) evolution to a next position (Area Manager) or a Senior professional, with a strong field / store management experience. The preferred location for the candidates is Los Angeles city (but we are also open to interview candidates based in San Francisco). Very open to travel extensively (around 75% of the time). Great communication (English is a must, Mandarin is a strong plus!) and leadership skills. Retail and customer oriented, with marketing sensibility.

Job Description

Grow and maximize the retail sales.

  • Achieves or exceeds store sales plan
  • Regularly communicates sales plan achievement to Brand Manager & Education Manager
  • Set, manage, and follow-up on monthly sales goals spreadsheets and follow up with KCRs & CM
  • Ensure and communicate consistent standards of AUS, IPT, and ADT
  • Review stock levels and monthly product orders
  • Utilizes all available reports to manage the business
  • Measures and evaluates the sales impact carried out by Global Shopper, and seeks opportunities to target frequent nationalities
  • Work with Retailer Operator to create a mutually effective in-store staffing schedule to maximize sell-out
  • Maintains awareness of competitive activity and communicates relevant information to Brand Manager and/or Marketing
  • Seeks out business/traffic increase opportunities within the environment/area/airport and communicates relevant information to Brand Manager/Marketing

Recruit, Develop, Motivate, Evaluate, Coach & Train KCRs, Counter Managers, etc..

  • Responsible for hiring the best possible candidate for any open position. Interviews, recruits KCRs, and Counter Managers for new store openings and replacements
  • Organize and execute basic training for new recruits and coordinate shadowing appointments with Education Manager., and conduct brand, new product & seasonal trainings 2 – 3 times a year
  • Provide KCRs with expectations & responsibilities of position & review performance on a regular basis
  • Verify selling techniques (Circle of Service) are upheld: consultations, how to open, close & multiple sell (IPT), sampling, etc…
  • Coaches KCRs & CMs to achieve their optimum professional development. Offers regular and immediate performance-based feedback on productivity, service levels, product knowledge, selling skills, professional demeanor, etc
  • Works together with retail operator to evaluate KCR productivity and takes appropriate measures to improve performance or replace
  • Ensures KCRs are trained on Global Shopper nationalities: purchasing habits, approach, selling techniques, etc…
  • Utilize Mystery Shopping program as a management tool to motivate KCRs and evaluate opportunities to fully meet the brand’s standards
  • Maintain ongoing, consistent communication with in-store staff, coordinate annual appraisals (if applicable) and bonus payouts (Brand Manager approval)

Merchandising

  • Adhere to current merchandising schematics, including Global Shopper merchandising strategy: “favorites” space, multi-language signage, brochures, etc…
  • Monitor cleanliness and product merchandising of displays
  • Review tester and sampling replenishment to ensure cleanliness & visual appeal
  • Ensure window displays and animation areas are set up according to plan
  • Communicate “any” space & location changes or opportunities immediately to Brand Manager
  • Work to gain additional visual exposure

Plan & execute effective promotions

    • Once finalized at corporate/brand level: coordinate regional, store, and warehouse level follow through for all promotions, animations, launch events. Forecast collateral needs for store promotions
    • Be proactive in planning promotional calendar for each door in your region with CM and in-store staff

monitor status of current promotional plans, plan new promotions & recap past promotions

  • Report promotional results for each activity/event
  • Implement or suggest promotions targeting the relevant Global Shoppers
  • Be aware of competitive promotional activity

Communicate , report, administer, build strong relationships

  • Communicate consistently with Brand Manager and Education Manager
  • Send monthly report communicating business review, servi ce standards, merchandising, growth, opportunities, plans, etc…
  • Participate in Education and Sales meetings (corporate office)
  • Follow and track travel and training budgets
  • Know and respect all store policies of the retail operator

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree and licensed aestheticians preferred
  • Field oriented professional (for more Senior profiles, experience of 3-5 years of experience is required)
  • People & service oriented -friendly, patient, dedicated, respectful with strong sales skills
  • Adaptability & open-mindedness -able to adapt to different teams and environments

  • Rigorous and details oriented
  • Analytical skills and at ease with figures, reports and Excel
