Our client for this Sales Director position is a high-end, luxury women’s cycling apparel and athleisure brand with roots in France and the US. With a former high fashion designer as its creative director and an American sport legend as Chief Brand Strategy Officer and equity partner, the company combines French couture styling with cutting-edge performance technology. The brand’s mission is to empower women, supporting them to achieve their personal goals and be their best in outdoor and indoor cycling, as well as everyday fitness activities.
Our client is seeking a Sales Director to join their team and help expand their distribution channels, tapping into the potential of the sports and luxury apparel markets.
The ideal candidate for this role has extensive experience in the sports and luxury apparel industry, with established relationships with sports and specialty shops like Dicks Sporting Goods, premier bike shops, indoor cycling studios, and luxury department stores such as Saks, Bloomingdales, and Neiman Marcus.
- Collaborate with the President of the company to identify distribution opportunities and establish long-term relationships with sports and specialty shops and premier department stores.
- Manage and maintain relationships with accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business as new products are launched.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop sales collateral, promotional materials, and campaigns to support sales efforts.
- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities to expand the product line and increase revenue.
- Represent the brand at trade shows and other industry events.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in sales, with a proven track record of success in the luxury apparel industry.
- Established relationships with sports apparel stores, specialty shops, and premier department stores, particularly in the activewear apparel market.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced startup environment.
