Our Client
Our client for this Senior Accountant is a luxury fashion company with an office in the Boca Raton, FL area.
Job Description
- Responsible for managing month end closing activities on the general accounting team for US and overseas operations, including the areas of inventory, cost of goods sold, fixed assets and intercompany.
- Prepare and input journal entries as part of month-end closing process.
- Perform monthly actual to budget variance analysis.
- Perform detailed general ledger account analysis for responsible areas.
- Review Trial Balance & maintain work papers to support balances in the balance sheet monthly with comments and action plans. Review findings with Senior Controller.
- Manage process of intercompany rebills with various intercompany partners.
- Assess levels of internal controls on self-related processes
- Escalate concerns to Senior Controller and CFO and propose alternative processes.
- Assist Senior Controller as needed on tax issues.
- Ability to manage in special projects to better the department.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required; good knowledge of accounting GAAP/IFRS expected.
- At least 4 years of accounting experience
- Advanced in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
