Job: Senior Accountant (Luxury Fashion)

Our Client

Our client for this Senior Accountant is a luxury fashion company with an office in the Boca Raton, FL area.

Job Description

• Responsible for managing month end closing activities on the general accounting team for US and overseas operations, including the areas of inventory, cost of goods sold, fixed assets and intercompany.
• Prepare and input journal entries as part of month-end closing process.
• Perform monthly actual to budget variance analysis.
• Perform detailed general ledger account analysis for responsible areas.
• Review Trial Balance & maintain work papers to support balances in the balance sheet monthly with comments and action plans. Review findings with Senior Controller.
• Manage process of intercompany rebills with various intercompany partners.
• Assess levels of internal controls on self-related processes
• Escalate concerns to Senior Controller and CFO and propose alternative processes.
• Assist Senior Controller as needed on tax issues.
• Ability to manage in special projects to better the department.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required; good knowledge of accounting GAAP/IFRS expected.
• At least 4 years of accounting experience
• Advanced in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
