The distillerie specializes in producing a new generation of spirits, including vodka, gin, and a citrus liquor, using 100% organic ingredients from France and Switzerland. With unique packaging that showcases the brand’s identity, the company stands out in the competitive market. Currently operating in France, Switzerland, China, and Japan, and with plans to expand across Europe and launch in the US in Q2 2024, is at an exciting phase of growth.
Objective of the Role
The Head of Sales USA / Sales Director will play a crucial role in establishing and expanding the company’s presence in the United States. This position is pivotal in developing and executing sales strategies, managing day-to-day operations with distributors, and directly engaging with key customers to drive growth and brand recognition in the US market.
We are seeking a dynamic, energetic, and passionate individual with a strong sales background and a flair for leadership. The ideal candidate should be willing to travel extensively within key US states, particularly California, Florida, and New York. They should be an effective communicator, persuasive, and have a proven track record in sales and business development.
- Oversee daily operations with distributors, ensuring smooth and efficient distribution of products.
- Conduct masterclasses and briefings for distributor sales teams to enhance product knowledge and sales tactics.
- Tailor and adapt marketing campaigns for the US market in collaboration with the marketing/event agency.
- Actively canvass and acquire new strategic customers, including major nightclubs, beach bars, hotel chains, and renowned bars in key locations, bypassing traditional distribution channels.
- Anticipate sales trends to place timely orders with the production team.
- Address and resolve any distribution-related issues in the US.
- Lead and inspire as the first internal role in the USA, setting the groundwork for building a dedicated sales team in the region.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the spirits or related industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to adapt to different market dynamics and customer preferences.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the US.
- Knowledge of the US spirits market and consumer trends.
