Objective of the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Marketing to lead the company’s marketing efforts and develop and execute strategic initiatives to drive growth and revenue for the group of ski resorts. The ideal candidate will have a passion for skiing and the outdoors, along with a proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies in the hospitality or travel industry.

Ideal Profile

The ideal candidate for this role will have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field, along with at least 10 years of experience in marketing leadership roles. They will have experience working in the hospitality or travel industry, with a strong understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities that come with marketing to leisure travelers. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with exceptional communication skills, and the ability to build and lead high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to drive revenue and growth for the group of ski resorts.
  • Build and lead a high-performing marketing team, including overseeing budgets and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including sales, operations, and finance, to develop integrated marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Conduct market research to stay up-to-date on industry trends and customer preferences.
  • Oversee the development and execution of advertising and promotional campaigns, including digital and social media advertising, email marketing, and direct mail campaigns.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key partners, such as travel agents, ski clubs, and tourism boards.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and make data-driven decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in marketing leadership roles.
  • Experience in the hospitality or travel industry.
  • Strong understanding of marketing strategies and tactics, including digital and social media marketing.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
