Objective of the Role

The VP of Sales will play a crucial role in driving the growth of the company by leading the sales strategy and team. This individual will work closely with the executive team to develop and execute sales plans, build strong customer relationships, and effectively manage the sales pipeline. The VP of Sales will be responsible for delivering on ambitious sales targets and contributing to the overall success of the company.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve short- and long-term revenue growth targets.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performance sales team, setting clear goals and expectations to drive results.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, distributors, and industry partners.
  • Identify and capitalize on emerging market trends and opportunities to expand the company’s market share.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop sales materials and promotional campaigns that support sales objectives.
  • Work closely with the executive team to establish and monitor budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to increase brand visibility and generate leads.
  • Continuously assess and improve sales processes, tools, and tactics to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive sales experience in the spirits or related industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment and adapt to change quickly.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for sales meetings, presentations, and industry events.
  • Knowledge of the Chicago, IL market and surrounding areas is a strong advantage.
