Job Description

Our Client

Our client is the small US subsidiary (8-10 people) of a mid-size international watch manufacturer and distributors of their own brands and under licenses for others.

Objective

We are looking for a process oriented individual to take full responsibility of all aspects of accounting. To fulfill the role you will need to have all round accounting experience and being able to work independently. A good business understanding will be an added benefit, as you will be working closely with colleagues from other functions and conduct both accounting, controlling and planning. . You will report to the General Manager of the USA subsidiary and to the group Finance Director in HQ.

The ideal profile is a fairly junior accountant or accounting manager able to work independently and eager to learn and grow.

Job Description

  • Manage all aspects of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and general ledger
  • Prepare, examine and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
  • Achieve financial objectives by assisting to prepare annual budget, scheduling expenditures,
  • Take ownership of the budget and forecast process by coordinating and driving the planning process including full P&L and Balance sheet
  • Prepare and submit month end management reports, investigate variances, summarize data, information, trends and initiate corrective actions
  • Comply with state and federal tax filing requirements by studying regulations, adhering to requirements, advising management on required actions, calculating quarterly estimated tax payments, assembling data for quarterly and annual tax filings
  • Responsible for annual audit
  • Inventory management and reporting
  • Ensure receivables are collected promptly
  • Maintain ERP system, financial files and records
  • System updates: item and customer creation/maintenance
  • Purchase order entry
  • Assistance with logistics creating UPC and HTS codes and coordinating shipments of product and display orders from overseas
  • Purchase supplies and equipment as authorized by management
  • Contributes to team effort of various projects as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting minimum
  • 2 – 4 years of AR, AP, inventory and general ledger experience
  • Knowledge of managing processes and inventory control
  • Good ERP understanding and strong Microsoft Excel skills Task and detail oriented and at the same time able to understand the bigger picture
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong time management skills
